Rutland Park Real Estate & Community Guide
Rutland Park is an established inner-city residential neighbourhood in Calgary’s southwest. Until the 1980s this small community was known as Sarcee Park, it was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1910, however, it did not develop until 1952.
Rutland Park’s proximity to Mount Royal University makes this small enclave of detached homes and townhomes a sought-after area. The community is also close to the Southland Regional Business Park, the Richmond Green Golf Course, the regional pathways, and several shopping and restaurant options.
Rutland Park is located at the crossroads of several major traffic routes which gives this mature community terrific access to the rest of the city including downtown.
The community is served by Sir James Lougheed Elementary public school.
As part of Ward 11, it is bounded to the north by Richmond Road and 33 Avenue, to the east by Crowchild Trail, to the south by Glenmore Trail, and to the west by 37 Street W.
