Oakridge is located in the southwest quadrant of the city and is bounded by Stoney Trail to the West, 90th Avenue to the North, 24th Street to the West and Southland Drive to the South. Along its northern border is the Glenmore Reservoir and Weaslehead Natural Area which offers access to many pathways and green spaces. For a day trip grab your bike and ride north along the reservoir to the historical Heritage Park, or drive to the boat launch located by the Glenmore Sailing Club and kayak around this beautiful waterway.

The new Costco on the Tsuu T’ina Nation is located 5 minutes away along Stoney Trail, and Southcentre Mall is a mere 10 minute drive away. Located within the community are several restaurants and a grocery store. Oakridge is also home to one middle school but other schools are a short distance away in neighbouring communities. The city run Southland Leisure Centre is located 5 minutes away and has many recreational opportunities. This is a well-rounded community that offers many positive amenities.
