Lakeview Real Estate & Community Guide
Located in Calgary’s southwest, the community of Lakeview was established in 1960. Known for its beautiful location backing onto Glenmore Park, this community is one of Calgary’s most sought-after neighbourhoods. Homes south of 66th Avenue are part of a smaller development named Lakeview Village, which features larger, more expensive homes.
The Calgary Rowing Club and Calgary Canoe Club are located in the south of the community, adjacent to the Glenmore Reservoir. Numerous hiking and cycling trails are maintained on the shores of the Reservoir, between the Weaselhead flats and Glenmore Trail. Lakeview is also conveniently located to both the Earl Grey and Lakeview golf courses.
The community is served by a great selection of Calgary Board of Education Schools, Connect and Calgary Girls school along with two public schools, Bishop Pinkham Junior High and Jeannie Elliot elementary.
As part of ward 11, Lakeview is located between Glenmore Trail SW and Crowchild Trail SW to 37th Street SW. The Tsuu T’ina Nation borders it to the west.
