Killarney / Glengarry Real Estate & Community Guide
Killarney, also known as Killarney/Glengarry, is a residential neighbourhood in Calgary’s southwest. A legacy community, the first subdivision plan for the community was registered with the Alberta Land Titles Office in 1906, and the lands were formally annexed in 1910.
Killarney is the perfect example of respecting and preserving the original character of an area while updating parts to keep it modern. The community has an area redevelopment plan in place and a recent revitalization project seeks to retain existing historical and pre-war real estate while also building new luxury condominium and townhome properties and single-family homes. Residents are proud of the community’s heritage and the Community Association is working to maintain the area’s rich history.
This community is minutes away from Mount Royal University, and has many great options to live close to top tier education.
As part of Ward 8, it is bounded by 17 avenue on the north, 37 street on the west, Richmond Road on the south, and 25A street on the east.
