New Brighton is a southeast community in Calgary located between 52nd Street to the West and Stoney Trail to the East between McIvor Boulevard to the South and 130th Avenue to the North. New Brighton has a community association which offers adult programs such as: tennis lessons, Pilates, yoga, self-defense and dance. This association also offers programming for children and youth including: sports programs and art programs. There are tennis courts, skating rink in the winter and access to hall rentals.
A large pond in the middle of the community offers walking paths, fields and a toboggan hill. Given its proximity to both Deerfoot Trail and Stoney Trail travelling to any part of the city is a breeze. Reach the Heart of Calgary in 20 minutes or Bragg Creek in 40 minutes where you can enjoy the many hiking trails. Shopping is located a few minutes away at the Shepard Shopping area where you can find many restaurants, retail stores, grocery stores, gas stations and professional services. Although a relatively new area New Brighton has much to offer its residents.
