Forest Lawn is a vibrant inner-city neighbourhood in Calgary’s southeast. The community has a rich history dating back to 1910 – it was incorporated as a town in 1953 before being annexed by the City of Calgary in 1961. This long history has resulted in area homes displaying a diverse range of building styles.

Forest Lawn is close to the Bow River, the Western Irrigation District Canal, Elliston Park, and major roadways like Deerfoot and Stoney Trail.  Forest Lawn also contains the 17th avenue commercial district, known as International Avenue, Calgary’s Culinary and Cultural Capital.

As part of Ward 9, the community is bounded by 36 street to the west and 52 street to the east, Memorial Drive to the north, and 26 avenue to the south.
