Fairview Real Estate & Community Guide
Established in the late 1950s the community of Fairview, a residential area in Calgary’s southeast, is experiencing something of a renaissance. In recent years they have witnessed a remarkable regeneration of the arena, former community association building turned community arts centre and a revival of the community association.
Fairview has welcomed many young families in recent years and is riding a wave of momentum to continue the regeneration of many parks and playgrounds, building and expanding community events and programs, as well as developing strong ties to business and community groups. Fairview features approximately 1,200 single-family homes built in the late 1950s and early 1960s on what are now considered large lots.
As part of Ward 9, it is bounded to the north by Glenmore Trail and to the east by Blackfoot Trail, to the south by Heritage Drive, and to the west by Macleod Trail.
