Thorncliffe Real Estate & Community Guide
Thorncliffe, established in 1954, is a residential neighbourhood in Calgary’s northwest. The area was part of the Thorncliffe/Greenview neighbourhood until 1991 when it was divided into Thorncliffe, North Haven and Greenview. Homes in this community consist mainly of single-family homes with some duplexes sprinkled throughout.
With abundant nearby green spaces, including Nose Hill Park, this area is a popular choice for homebuyers looking to enjoy peaceful living in the middle of natural surroundings. The family-oriented community is in an excellent location with quick and convenient access to all the major public amenities and entertainment facilities in the city. A comprehensive network of major routes and pathways makes it super convenient for residents to access downtown Calgary as well as the airport.
The community is served by Colonel Sanders Elementary and Thorncliffe Elementary public school, as well as by Corpus Christi Elementary School (Catholic).
The Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association, formed in 1956, is extremely active, with 500 members and counting.
As part of Ward 4, Thorncliffe is bounded by 64 Avenue to the north, Deerfoot Trail to the east, McKnight Boulevard to the south and 14 Street West, and Nose Hill Park to the west.
