Silver Springs located in Calgary’s North West, this community is bordered by main arteries Crowchild Trail (North), Sarcee Trail (East), Nose Hill Drive (West) and the Mighty Bow River to the south. If you want a leisurely drive out to the Rocky Mountains, Sarcee Trail will take you to Highway 1 within minutes.
The community is well served educationally by W.O Mitchell Elementary Public School, and the Catholic School boards St. Sylvester Elementary School. Families in Silver Springs also send their children to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School in nearby Varsity.
Silver Springs is also known for it’s recreational area Bowmont Park or as people that live in the area affectionately call it “The Gully” or “The Ravine”. Bowmont Park is currently going under some renovations and upgrades, check out the link to find out what to expect.
There are two commercial centers in Silver Springs, one to the west of the community and the other just north of Bowmont Park. Other services and commercial centers are also located across highway 1A in Dalhousie.
