North Haven Real Estate & Community Guide
Located within walking distance to one of Calgary’s largest inner city parks makes North Haven a desired location for many. Take an afternoon and make your way to the Nose Hill Park view point where you can see the City’s beautiful skyline or hike a bit further to the Siksikaitsitapi Medicine Wheel or the Stone Maze located within the park. Keep your eyes open as you may just see some wildlife including deer, coyotes, porcupines or various birds. Are you more into indoor activities? The Calgary Winter Club is located on 14th street right across from North Haven and offers a number of indoor activities.
This community is central with great access to major bus routes, making commuting around the city a breeze. This area was used for cattle grazing prior to its establishment and development between 1963 and 1971 and is located just east of Nose Hill Park and northwest of John Laurie Boulevard. North Haven is a well-established area with several restaurants and take out options, as well as, two off leash areas and a Community Association. The North Haven Community Association is a wonderful way to get involved in the community. They host many events for all ages, and have lots of volunteer opportunities. What’s better than a committee that’s dedicated to better the community!
