Dalhousie Real Estate & Community Guide
Established in 1967 and located in Calgary’s northwest, Dalhousie continues to be one of Calgary’s most sought-after neighbourhoods. Named for George Ramsay, 9th Earl of Dalhousie, this community is one of Calgary’s more mature neighbourhoods.
With a location close to top-quality schools, shopping, transit, hospitals, and the University of Calgary, this established community has numerous parks and playgrounds, large trees and homes ranging from apartments and townhomes, to older-style bungalows.
This wonderful area is served by four schools: Dalhousie Elementary School, West Dalhousie Elementary School and H.D. Cartwright Junior High School in the public system, and St. Dominic in the Separate (Catholic) system.
The Dalhousie Community Association takes pride in offering a variety of programs and services with hopes to enhance the quality of life for the people who live and work in the area.
As part of ward 7, the community is bounded to the north by John Laurie Boulevard, to the east by Shaganappi Trail, to the south by Crowchild Trail and to the west by Sarcee Trail.
