Located on the Eastern edge of Calgary in the North is Monterey Park which is bounded by McKnight Boulevard to the North, the TransCanada Highway to the South and 68th Street to the West, with the City limits to the East. This community is comprised of residential and industrial areas. The Rotary/Mattamy Greenway Trail runs along the Eastern edge of the community and has several access points along the community so you can easily access the walking/running and biking trails. Located about 5 minutes from Monterey Park is the popular family attraction of Cobbs Adventure Park. Take a drive east on 16th avenue and follow this signs to this attraction and visit with the wallabies and kangaroos.
Within the community of Monterey Park there are a number of green spaces which host baseball fields and soccer fields. The community is host to one Elementary school with Junior High and High School children bussed to nearby communities. Given its proximity to Stoney Trail and the Trans-Canada Highway Monterey Park is easily accessible from any part of the city.
