You’ll be in the heart of one of Calgary’s most popular areas in the neighbourhood of Eau Claire!  This neighbourhood is located directly south of the Bow River and north of 4th Street. As of 2019, Eau Claire was home to over 2,030 residents.

Housing consists of riverside condominiums, and you’ll have immediate access to shopping, restaurants, pubs, and a large public plaza that hosts a diverse collection of festivals and events throughout the year.  You’ll also enjoy a vast expanse of urban parkland at Prince’s Island Park, a large public green space north of Eau Claire which is host to many summer festivals including the Calgary Folk Music Festival, Carifest, and Shakespeare in the Park. The Bow River pathway,  which is the city’s large network of pedestrian pathways and trails, runs directly along Eau Claire.

The Eau Claire Community Association was founded in 1992 with the goal of enhancing and maintaining the quality of living in Eau Claire.  The board of the association focuses on concerns to the community including planning, transportation, safety, and noise.  The association meets at the Gray Family Eau Claire YMCA and plans a variety of programming for its residents throughout the year. Eau Claire Market is the main attraction of the neighbourhood. It was built on former industrial land and sits immediately south of the Bow River. Inside you’ll find several unique shops and galleries, a movie theatre, a food court, a gym, and several restaurants.
