It’s hard to dwell on the pain the world is in when you can strap on your leathers and ride through the beautiful fall landscape of Alberta and British Columbia. However, in our moments of freedom and excitement, we cannot forget those who are struggling behind closed doors. On September 14-18th, 25 riders road from Alberta and Ontario put things into gear with a 2,900 km ride throughout Alberta and British Columbia, all to raise money for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.
Ride For Shelter – Making every kilometre count!
With a goal of $20,000 in mind, riders and the Royal Lepage friends and family raised an incredible amount of $55,050 and grew! Making this the largest Ride For Shelter donation to date. When 100% of all the proceeds go straight to our local community shelters, a direct impact is made on women and children who are going through some of the worst days of their lives.
Among our riders were Benchmark’s own Wheelin’ Dealin’ Deb Debbie Leah and our Handlebar Hustler John Hripko. What a team we have here at Benchmark!
