The Spirit of the West was alive and well at the recent 55th annual Strathmore Stampede. The record-breaking turnout was a testament to the strong community culture in Strathmore and the determination to bring everyone together for a great event! Royal LePage® Benchmark saddled up this year as a sponsor and participant to raise money for the Wheatland Crisis Society through the Royal LePage® Shelter Foundation.
Making eye contact with a charging bull seems small in comparison to the courage it takes women and children to flee domestic violence, however, Royal LePage® Benchmark’s Christopher Pitman hit the ground running alongside other participants to outrun a group of raging bulls.
The Running With The Bulls event in Strathmore is a town favourite and Royal LePage® Benchmark raised over $3,367.00 through donations for the event. All proceeds will go to the Wheatland Crisis Society.
Across the rodeo grounds, the Royal LePage® Benchmark Strathmore Office hosted the Beat The Bull competition. Where Stampede participants both young and old were able to try the 8-second ride. These mechanical bulls were no match for some eager cowboys and others, well.. they tried.
