Bridlewood is a residential neighborhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary that was established in 1998. It is located at the southwestern edge

of the city. To the North is Stoney Trail and to the South is the community of Evergreen. To the East there is the Bridlewood Creek Wetland.

This wetland is home to two dozen types of birds and large quantities of flora and fauna. It was created by the city of

Calgary as a stormwater retention pond.


Spruce Meadows, the well-known equestrian facility is located directly to the South of Bridlewood.

Recreational amenities include tennis courts, volleyball, and a water park operated by the Resident’s Association. Residents are can enjoy being near to the Cardel Rec Centre, Shannon Park & Pathways, Somerset Waterpark & Fish Creek Provincial Park
